Drop,Cover,Hold
The shakeout program was brought to our school by a professional person by the name of Annmarie and her companion Mazuk. They were here to show us what to do in a real earthquake situation.
In an earthquake you should Drop, Cover, Hold. Annmarie works for the Civil Defence in the Search and Rescue Unit. They work in the earthquake, the bush, or on the mountain.
When they are working in an earthquake this can be very devastating for your family to find you if you're injured or hurt.
Sometimes earthquakes could form in the way of a wave and sweep you off your feet. Sometimes it could lead to a death. They work to recover dead or alive people who are trapped under their desks.
It is important to drop, cover and Hold to keep yourself protected
